Hay! It's First Cutting!


First cutting of alfalfa is in the barn! We have about 18 tons available of 2 string bales, approx 110 pounds per bale. No rain, beautiful leafy green. No weeds.

We are anticipating two more cuttings of alfalfa, but we are only farming 20 acres of alfalfa this year because of the water restrictions. We have 53 acres of teff that will be available later this summer. 40% of our fields are fallow this year (unless you'd like some mustard weed, because we have a lot of that!)
