Who We Are

Rafter TM Hay Farm is the passion of Tim and Torree McGowan.  Tim and Torree are native Oregonians, but traveled a long road until their final arrival in Culver.

Tim grew up in Klamath Falls, and attended Oregon State University with a major in production agriculture.  He then worked for Childers Meat Company in Eugene for many years.  One fateful day at a team roping, his trailer was blocked in by the woman who changed his world.

Torree blocked his escape and dragged him away on a grand adventure.  For over a decade, Tim followed Torree's Air Force career to Texas, Alaska, and California.

When Torree's Air Force commitment was complete, Tim chose to return to his central Oregon roots.  They fell in love with Culver, and purchased a hay farm in 2016.  They moved in summer 2017.  After moving four horses, four dogs, one cat, and two kids, they are finally settled in and ready to make hay while the central Oregon sun shines!
